Using the shredding pages felt so vulnerable. I was finally putting down what I had been holding in for so long. I felt brave and kind of proud of myself. I then realized I still hadn't been fully honest. I was sugar coating things I was feeling. I felt afraid to actually write it all out. That's when true relief came from shredding. It really felt as though I was releasing all this ugliness I didn't need (or want) to hold. Meditating for me always results in communicating with my Maker. It felt new this time, like I was starting to see where I really stood and how to begin to ask for help where I really need it.

I absolutely loved doing this. I am not usually one to write things out and if I do I found by doing this exercise I definitely edit before I write. Knowing it is going to be shredded allows me to truly write without having judgements about my thoughts. I was able to write free without judging the thoughts and myself. I was surprised what came out of paper. It was definitely different than I expected. I think it was ultimately an exercise in being honest about my feeling and emotions to myself. Thank you so much Lynds for making this. I'm excited to continue to use it.

As I began to write I was frustrated that my handwriting wasn't very good and I wanted to follow the lines and be more exact. As I reminded myself to let go I was able to quite literally go outside of the lines and my writing was sloppy and quick, and it was okay. I felt okay that I wasn't following the prompt perfectly. I began to open up. I noticed some of my words would become bold, capitalized, and underlined. I was expressing myself in a way that I had not previously let myself do. Being someone that thinks into things quite a bit, it was nice to just write without worrying about how or why I was doing it, but rather just letting it flow.
